Acrylic/Mixed Media

'Streams of Living Water'

24" x 48", Acrylic/Mixed Media

'Whoever believes in Me, as the scripture says, streams of living water will flow from within them.' John 7:38

'Willing to be Dazzled'

24" x 48" Acrylic/Mixed Media

Based a poem by Mary Oliver, 'House of Lights', written underneath. "Still, what I want in my life is to be willing to be dazzled - to cast aside the weight of facts and maybe even to float a little above this difficult world."

'Living Souls'

36" x 36", Acrylic/Recycled Paint Chips

We are not bodies that have a soul, we are souls in a body. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could see souls in our shadows?

'Ask the Birds'

36" x 36", Acrylic/Recycled Paint Chips

Based on Job 12: 7 and 9, that says in part, "Ask...the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you...Who among all these does not know that the Hand of the Lord has done this?"

'Creation'

18" x 36", Acrylic/Mixed Media

Painted entirely with my hands, a rag and a squirt bottle of water. Standing back and looking, I saw the explosion of light into the green and knew it's name.
